Philip Hayes

Philip Hayes (1738-1797) was a notable English composer, conductor and organist during the late 18th century. He was born in Oxford, England. 

He served as the organist and choirmaster at St. Mary's Church in Oxford, where he made notable contributions to Anglican choral music. He composed a variety of music, including hymns, anthems, and other sacred works. 

Philip Hayes contributed to the development of English church music during a transitional period when musical styles were evolving. His compositions reflected both the traditional choral style and emerging classical influences.
