WHAT IT INVOLVES
Make a 3-5 minute video introducing an instrument from the Bate Collection, including a short performance, or up to 10 minutes if presenting a whole family of instruments or a full work.
Discover your instrument’s ancestor from orchestral hand horn and classical clarinet to sackbut or square piano. Are you an ‘Ud or secret Theremin player?
WHO CAN TAKE PART?
The project is open to all members of the music faculty
Keyboards such as harpsichord, fortepiano or clavichord will be practised and filmed in the Bate.
If appropriate, other portable instruments may be taken out on loan subject to approval: please email firstname.lastname@example.org
For information about instrument loans, see the Bate Collection website: HERE
You must arrange your own video recording.
All editing to be completed by you and finished videos submitted by May 26 2024 (end of week 5 Trinity Term).
Completed videos will be uploaded on the Music Faculty and Bate Collection YouTube channels.
