Admission to the Bate Collection is free.

BLUE BADGE PARKING

There are nine designated parking spaces for Blue Badge holders at the Schwarzman Centre. There is some public parking space for Blue Badge holders on Walton Street.

Please contact the Estates Helpdesk on 01865 (2)70087 or email estates.helpdesk@admin.ox.ac.uk to request a parking booking, ensure that the date, start and end time of parking request is included in your email.

LEVEL ACCESS & LIFTS

There is a level access route from the pavement outside the Museum to the front door.

There are lifts to all floors and level access to all public spaces, including galleries, shop, café areas and performance spaces.

The ground floor, includes the café and Bate Collection of Musical Instruments.

There is step-free access into the building. There is lift access to all floors.

There are entrances at both ends of the building.

All entrance doors are wide and powered.

FACILITIES

• This is a large building containing many faculties and departments within the Humanities division.

• Internal doors on main circulation routes are powered or held open. 

• There are accessible toilets on all floors of the building.

• There is a Changing Places toilet near the large performance hall at basement level.

• There are dedicated wheelchair spaces in the large performance hall, and the large lecture theatre.

• There are accessible changing, shower, and toilet facilities for performers in the back of house areas.

• There are hearing support systems available in teaching and performance spaces.

• There are several accessible parking bays around the site.
